Epson Stylus Photo 1290S Review Posted on: March 27th, 2006
The Epson stylus Photo 1290S is infact missing a few features of it's counterparts and it's predecessors. Some of these include OSX borderless printing and individual ink cartridges. The Stylus Photo 1290S does infact use a 5-in-1 color ink cartridge, as opposed to the now common individual color ink cartridges.
However, the 1290S still manages to pull off some impressive prints, both black and white, and color prints are produced in a stunning level of clarity and sharpness. One of the advantages of the 5-in-1 cartridges is the fact that it can be economical and are generally cheaper to replace.
Even when tested with third party ins, the 1290S continued to produce quality prints, but it's certainly not fast. Perhaps the main downfall of the 1290S is infact the speed in which it outputs both full and half size prints.
