Canon Pixma iP5000 Printer Review Posted on: March 22nd, 2006
Dual paper trays, 300 sheet capacity, tiny droplets and decent printer speed are what make the Canon Pixma iP5000. An excellent option for home users who required both quality text and vibrant color printing, using a four color ink system, it lacks the now available six color ink system with additional photo quality ink. Despite the lack of photo ink cartridges, the iP5000 photo printing quality surpasses most SOHO competitors, making it a great and affordable choice. Unfortunately, it lacks built-in networking, something many small offices are now switching too.
The Pixma iP5000 prints black plain text pages at an average of 7 pages per minute, and when using Canons pro photo paper and a full page graphical print test resulted in a single 8x10 being printed in just under 2 minutes.
